Look back to 2022 in Vietnam

Time flies, so it's the end of this year, and I look back to 2022.

In 2019, we started considering our business in Vietnam and established atWare Vietnam supported by many atWare(JP) colleagues and friends.

However, we couldn't run the business as expected since it has been the COVID-19 situation around the world.

Vietnamese employees who had been in Japan would intend to return to Vietnam and lead the business but couldn't, and I also.

Although.... it has become not good business environment since the Japanese yen lost at the beginning of this year.

These opportunities were they got a better relationship with our clients and could know our business environment and culture in Japan.

However, it is deplorable that the product we developed has now yet succeeded as clients expected.

I hope it will connect to the clients and our growth.

I stayed in 5 times in Vietnam this year, for a total of almost half a year.

A few employees left, but new employees joined our company, including freshers!

It's difficult to know each other personally online, even If we have 1-on-1 meetings.

For them, I am a foreigner, don't speak each other's language, and much older president, so hard to open up to me.

We work together in our small office, and I look at their work, so I know a lot of things.

I felt some things but didn't impose them on my experience and knowledge.

Because I thought they were considering and working based on their knowledge.

Recently, I noticed they don't take various knowledge very much from books and etc. I remember I also didn't read I was young.

I'll make opportunities we read books to get knowledge and think together from now on.

All employees had dinner and trips together a few times, so we had a good time besides working.

We are a very small team yet, but I believe we are full of HRT(Humility/Respect/Trust).

I was often disgusted with myself because I couldn't make use of their ability.

However, it's important for me to work with them together and have the support of my family. I'm very happy.

I became 35 years old at the end of this year(counting age is a little different in Vietnam).

I try to recall that atWare(JP) was founded when I was actually 35 years old, and I'll work harder just like next year.

In Vietnam, it's important to celebrate the lunar new year instead the new year in the Gregorian calendar. So I was in Vietnam just before the year's end and returned home.

We all appreciate all your efforts this year.

Have a happy new year!
